The captain is responsible for the team registration, organisation, communication with the organisers and the coordination of the team members (sharing of information).
All participants (individuals) must have reached the age of 15 by 12 October 2018.
Every participant (individual) can only be a member of a one team.
By taking part in the competition, participants (individuals) consent to the competition rules.
The on-line round consists of set of challenges within the CTF platform. The solving of challenges is subject to scoring. The ranking of teams reflects the score awarded. In case all challenges have been solved before the round is closed, the time at which the last result was entered is decisive.
The rules for the score award in the on-site round shall be published at upon the launch of the on-site round.
Employees of the organisers can only take part in the 1st round (on-line) competition, without any entitlement to prizes.
In case a qualified team cannot take part in the 2nd on-site round (or fails to confirm the participation within a set deadline), the organisers reserve the right to invite a team from the list of substitutes.
The organisers reserve the right to nominate the team for the international finals in Japan.
The eligibility criteria for the nomination for the international finals in Japan are the following – successful participation in the on-site qualifier, age of 20 years by 14 December 2018, willingness and ability to participate in the finals in Japan (at the moment of nomination, the eligible participant is not aware of any matters that might hinder his/her travel abroad – including, but not limited to health condition, work obligations, visa obligations, or generally inability to travel out the country).
The expenses of the participation in the international finals in Japan are covered by Trend Micro and include – return flight tickets Prague – Tokyo, transport from/to airport and hotel accommodation in the competition location.
In order to comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements, you are required to get acquainted with the Personal Data Protection Guidelines relating to the personal data obtained and processed in relation to the organisation of the competition.
Please note than these competition rules incorporate, among other things, the competition rules defined by the organiser of the international finals in Japan.
The participants shall have no legal entitlement to any competition awards.
The organisers reserve the right to change the competition terms and conditions; or to discontinue, postpone or cancel the competition without any reason or notification.
